Protect Your Schools from the Next Phishing Attack

A smarter way to stop email threats in Gmail and Outlook—now available in Cloud Monitor

Phishing emails are evolving. Are your defenses keeping up?

Cybercriminals are targeting K-12 schools with emails that look legitimate—but carry serious risks. From credential theft to ransomware, it only takes one click to compromise your schools.

That’s why we built our NEW Advanced Phishing Protection tool—an easy-to-use Cloud Monitor add-on that uses chain-of-thought (CoT) AI to detect and block phishing and spam emails before they reach your users’ inboxes.

🚨 Why It Matters

  • 63% of K–12 organizations were hit by ransomware last year
  • 26% of those attacks started with a malicious email
  • $3 million median cost to recover from an attack in K–12
  • Phishing is usually the first step—and it’s getting harder to spot

You’re managing enough already. Advanced Phishing fits right into your existing Cloud Monitor environment—no complex setup, no new systems to learn. Just smarter email protection for the people who need it most: your staff, students, and community.

How Advanced Phishing Works for K-12 Schools

This isn’t your typical spam filter.

Advanced Phishing uses context-aware AI to understand the intent behind an email—not just keywords or links.

Advanced Phishing uses 5 key determining factors to decide if an email is phishing or not. Each use complex analysis, using a specific set of heuristics, rather than simple rules or filters.

  1. Mismatched Senders: The display name doesn't match the actual email address, or if the sending domain doesn't match the signing domain.

  2. Urgency & Threats: Subjects or messages demanding immediate action, threatening account closure, or asking for passwords, money, or similar.

  3. Impersonation: Pretending to be a known person, company, or authority figure (especially leadership asking for favors like wire transfers or gift cards).

  4. Suspicious Links/Requests: Asking you to click links to log in, verify accounts, or provide sensitive information. Also includes requests to call phone numbers to fix fake problems or scan QR codes.

  5. Unusual Financial Requests: Unexpected invoices, changes to payment details, or requests for wire transfers, gift cards, etc.

  6. Odd Attachments/Instructions: Emails with strange file types or instructions to install software.
